실리샐리는 서울에서 활동하고 있는 일러스트레이터입니다. ArtCenter College of Design에서 일러스트레이션을 전공한 그녀의 세계는 ‘sillysally’라는 이름처럼, 아무 이유 없이 웃음이 나오는 순간을 포착하는 데서 출발합니다. 일상에서 비롯된 따뜻한 감정을 귀엽고 유머러스한 형태로 시각화하며, 보는 사람에게 잠시나마 현실의 무게를 잊게 만들어 줍니다. 단순한 장식을 넘어, 하루의 피로를 녹이는 다정한 언어가 되고자 합니다. 실리샐리의 작품 속 장면들은 어디선가 본 듯하지만, 동시에 현실에는 존재하지 않는 독특한 온기를 품고 있습니다. 알록달록 예쁜 색깔의 집, 한 번쯤 만나고 싶은 동물 친구들이 그려진 장면들은 마치 어릴 적 선물을 받았을 때의 느낌을 자아냅니다. 그렇게 그녀의 그림은 ‘귀여움’이라는 가벼운 언어로 시작해, ‘위로’라는 깊은 감정으로 마주 선 이를 안내합니다.
sillysally is an illustrator based in Seoul. Having majored in Illustration at the ArtCenter College of Design, her world—true to the name “sillysally”— begins with capturing those moments that make us smile for no particular reason. She visualizes the warm emotions drawn from everyday life in a cute and humorous form, gently allowing viewers to forget the weight of reality, even if only for a moment. Her work seeks to become more than simple decoration; it aims to be a tender visual language that melts away the fatigue of the day. The scenes in sillysally’s works feel strangely familiar, yet they carry a unique warmth that does not quite exist in reality. Colorful, charming houses and animal friends one might wish to meet at least once evoke the feeling of receiving a gift in childhood. In this way, her illustrations begin with the light-hearted language of “cuteness” and gently guide the viewer toward the deeper emotion of “comfort.”
